By plane

You arrive at Marseille-Provence airport that is located about 20 km from Marseille and about 40 km from LP3.

  • You rent a car.

The Luminy university campus is situated in the south of Marseille on the way from Marseille to Cassis. Leaving the airport, you take the direction Marseille by highway. Once on the highway, you path through a tunnel. At the exit of the tunnel you take A55 highway in the direction of Marseille - Vieux-Port.

You arrive directly in Marseille. At the end of the highway, you take the tunnel under the Vieux-Port in the direction la plage (attention : do not take the second tunnel on the left side after the exit of the first tunnel). You continue in the direction la plage. Afterwards you go beside the sea (sur la corniche) for approximately 6 km. When you arrive at the first roundabout (Statue of David), you turn left to taker the direction stade vélodrome, autres directions (avenue du Prado). At the end of this avenue you reach the roundabout rond point du Prado where you have to turn right in order to take boulevard Michelet. You follow this boulevard which terminates on the roundabout with the obélisque de Mazargues. You continue straight on into the direction Cassis, Luminy. You follow this road about 2 km and you arrive at the roundabout of Luminy (lawn, trees, rocks) where you turn right to take the road for Luminy. which brings you up to the pôle scientifique et technologique de Luminy.

Depending on traffic, the trip can take from 45 to 60 minutes. However, some visitors took much more time !!!

  • You take the public transportations

At the airport you take the shuttle bus to the St Charles railway station (gare SNCF St Charles) which is situated in Marseille downtown. The shuttle ticket costs about 8 euros and the trip takes about 30 minutes. There is one shuttle bus every 20 minutes. At St Charles railway station you take the subway (direction : Ste Marguerite - Dromel). You stop at the Rond-Point du Prado station. From there you take the bus N°21 in the direction of Luminy. The bus terminus is at the entrance of the Luminy campus. The overall duration of the trip is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
